Using Numbers

In math, we have been learning about numbers: what they look like, what they mean, how to use them, how to order them, and even how to match them.  Developing a strong number sense now will help every child in math to build the foundation they need for the coming years of math.  Please try to incorporate some number games into your routines.  You could have your child count the signs on your drive home, count the socks in the laundry, tell you the number that is 'two more than' the next number they find in a store...quick, creative games that spark your child's understanding and application of numbers.  Have fun with it!
