What a lovely time we had at our Thanksgiving dinner today, even if all of our plans did not work out as we expected. The students ended up presenting their program in the parking lot of the church while our visitors from Mountainview were 'stuck' in their bus! A malfunctioning lift was the issue but we made the best of it that we could and a number of parents quickly put together trays of food for the seniors to take back to Mountainview - which they did and they enjoyed their picnic!
What an amazing event that was taken on by the parents, who really were the reason we could do this. Thank you to everyone who helped out today and to all the families for donating the food. It was lovely for the kids to mix with the other grade one class, chat at their tables and share a special meal together. Thank you!!
This plate was almost licked clean at the end! The meal was a big hit!!
